T.I. is headed to prison in seven days, but he may be out sooner than expected.

The King of the South is due to report to a low-security federal prison in Forrest City, Arkansas, on May 26 for a year and a day sentence on weapons charges.

According to The Associated Press, Tip will be credited for 305 days of home detention, which he served last year, so his stay at Forrest City will likely be reduced to two months.

Before he goes, the Atlanta rapper will shoot a video for “Don’t Forget,” his new single with Mary J. Blige, this week in Los Angeles.

Upon release, T.I. will be placed on probation for three years and must pay a $100,000 fine.

UPDATE: T.I. will serve more than two months behind bars, according to Charysse Alexander, a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia. She clarified AP’s original report, saying that Tip was given credit for 305 days of home detention, but that will not affect the length of his prison sentence.

At best, anyone who serves more than one year in prison is eligible for a 15 percent “good time” credit, which means his year-and-a-day sentence could be reduced by 55 days.
