Snoop Dogg's Wild Wild West Extravaganza

Snoop Dogg

The West Coast got even wilder when Snoop Dogg brought his “How the West Was Won” tour to Club Nokia in Los Angeles last Thursday (Nov. 19). The Long Beach native hit the stage in blue Chucks, a matching blue bandana jumpsuit, and shades. The clouds of smoke were a clear indication that the Doggfather himself was in the building. Guest appearances from The Lady of Rage, Too $hort, Xzibit, and Tha Dogg Pound staples Kurupt and Daz filled the night.

Snoop performed old-school classics like “Fuck tha Police” and “Ain’t No Fun (If the Homies Can’t Have None)” to recent hits “Life of da Party,” “Sensual Seduction,” and “I Wanna Love You.” It wouldn’t be a true West Coast concert without a lighter-swaying 2Pac tribute, including “Hail Mary” and “Gangsta Party,” which the crowd sang along to religiously. The live band played over 20 songs and Snoop closed the show with “Who Am I (What’s My Name)?” clearly a name the West knows well.
