Lil Wayne

We spoke too soon. Just when we thought Lil Wayne’s Rebirth was actually coming this time, the album has been delayed until next year.

Weezy’s foray into rock is now scheduled for release on February 1, 2010, around the same time he is to be sentenced for charges of attempted gun possession. The album was previously set for December 21, the same day as the Young Money compilation We Are Young Money, whose release date remains the same.

Birdman broke the news on Twitter. “REBIRTH ALBUM PUSHBACK FEB.1 YOUNGMONEY CMIN OUT DEC.21 YADIG YM CMB.”

Wayne released two singles from the album, “On Fire” and “Da Da Da,” over the last week. Rebirth is reported to feature a collaboration with Eminem called “Drop the World.”
