Beyoncé and Michelle Obama

Beyoncé has inspired thousands of her fans, but who does she look up to? The superstar reveals that First Lady Michelle Obama is among her role models.

In honor of Black History Month, Beyoncé was asked to pick someone who has influenced her. She showered praise on one of the country’s most powerful women. “Our First Lady, Michelle Obama. She is smart, beautiful, a terrific mother, and a wonderful wife. She proves you can do it all,” stated Bey.

The Grammy-winning singer performed “At Last” at the Neighborhood Ball for President Obama’s inauguration, and the First Lady was seen at one of Beyoncé’s concerts with daughters Sasha and Malia.

Obama previously shared that she listens to Beyoncé’s music on her iPod. “I love Beyoncé,” she exclaimed during “Take Your Child to Work Day” last year.

The singer is working on her fourth solo album, but details remain scarce. “I know that Beyoncé is one of those artists that always tries to push the envelope, so nothing is ever good enough, but that’s what makes Beyoncé Beyoncé,” collaborator Ne-Yo told Rap-Up TV, while “Diva” songwriter Sean Garrett said to expect an announcement soon.
