The summer is about to get a little Shadier. Eminem is returning to the mic “post-Memorial Day” with his first solo album in three years.

Shady Records president and Eminem’s manager Paul Rosenberg confirmed that the Detroit rapper is back in the lab and will have new music for his fans in the months ahead.

“We fully expect to be releasing a new Eminem album in 2013,” Rosenberg tells Billboard. “He’s been working on it for some time. It’s safe to say that it will be post-Memorial Day at some point, but we’re not exactly sure when.”

While no specific release date was given, Eminem will play a serious of shows overseas later this summer. “We’ve got some dates locked in for him to perform live in Europe in August, so we’re trying to see what else lines up,” adds Rosenberg.

Eminem’s last solo album, Recovery, went on to become the best-selling album of 2010. He returned to the mic in 2011 with the Bad Meets Evil EP Hell: The Sequel.

Shady Records is also eyeing a 2013 release for Yelawolf’s sophomore album and 50 Cent’s Street King Immortal, due in the first half of the year. Slaughterhouse will begin work on their sophomore LP following solo albums from Royce Da 5’9″, Crooked I, Joell Ortiz, and Joe Budden.
