Alicia Keys' Second Child Due in December

Alicia Keys has a new baby and a new album on the way. The pregnant singer gushed about her upcoming delivery, calling it her best work yet.

While promoting Givenchy’s new fragrance Dahlia Divin at Macy’s in Manhattan, Keys spoke to the AP about the follow-up to 2012’s Girl on Fire.

“What I know for a fact is it’s the best music I’ve ever done in my life yet and it’s really exciting to be able to have this kind of growth, this type of opportunity,” she said. “The music’s actually pretty much done already and so you’ll be hearing some of it soon.”

She has been in the studio with Pharrell Williams and will help the “Happy” hitmaker mentor his contestants on NBC’s “The Voice,” which premieres Monday.

“Alicia’s album is crazy. Harlem is gonna be real proud,” Pharrell told Angie Martinez earlier this year. “She’s getting ready to do something super next level. It supercedes anything that’s out.”

While Keys remained coy about a release date, she did reveal that she and husband Swizz Beatz are expecting their second child in December.

“December album? Well, I know one thing. I’m having a December baby,” said Keys, who knows the sex of the baby, but would not share it.
