Video: Royce 5'9'' feat. Rick Ross & Pusha T - 'Layers'

  /  06.29.2016

Royce 5’9″, Pusha T, and Rick Ross get political in the music video for their collaboration, “Layers.”

The Ryan Snyder-directed clip finds the rhyming trio kidnapping a politician. King Push, Nickel Nine, and Renzel team up to make sure the plan goes smoothly, even if things do get a bit bloody in the process.

“Layers” features a Louis Farrakhan speech that inspired the political tilt. “The Farrakhan speech inspired me to want to do something a little different and push what would be considered my creative boundary a little bit,” Royce told Complex. “I thought having me, Push, and Rozay on a song together would be unexpected as well as a great start at doing so. Enjoy.”

“Layers” is the title track off Royce’s latest album, which followed Tabernacle: Trust the Shooter earlier this year.
