Lady Gaga Pays Tribute to David Bowie at Grammys

  /  02.15.2016

Lady Gaga honored David Bowie with a hit-filled medley of the late icon’s classic material during the Grammy Awards at Los Angeles’ Staples Center.

Donning a vintage Bowie look and aided by special effects, the singer opened her tribute with “Space Oddity” before launching into “Changes,” “Ziggy Stardust,” and “Suffragette City.”

The hits continued rocking with “Rebel Rebel,” “Fashion,” and “Fame.” Then, colorful screens flashed on and off as acrobatic dancers spun around to the aptly titled “Let’s Dance.” Finally, as Bowie’s face appeared on a large screen behind her, Gaga closed her set with the inspirational “Heroes.”

Fellow stars praised Gaga for the performance quickly after it aired.

Gaga clearly took this performance seriously. Prior to the show, the singer showed her appreciation for the late Bowie by tattooing his portrait on her ribcage.
