Travis Scott Pleads Not Guilty to Inciting Riot

La Flame proclaims his innocence.

Travis Scott — who was arrested for inciting a riot, disorderly conduct, and endangering the welfare of a minor at a “Birds Eye View” concert in Arkansas on Saturday (May 13) — has pled not guilty in the case, according to The Associated Press.

He’s been accused of urging fans to “rush the stage” during the concert at the Walmart Arkansas Music Pavilion in the city of Rogers, but Scott’s lawyer Drew Ledbetter says he was simply trying to “put on a good show.”

Nevertheless, the incident reportedly resulted in multiple injuries. A security guard and police officer were among those hurt by the alleged chaos that ensued at the event.

The arrest has also inspired a limited edition T-shirt. The “Free the Rage” tee, which features Travis’ mugshot on the front, is priced at $45 and will only be available for 48 hours, according to his website.

It’s not the first time Scott’s battled similar accusations. In 2015, he was arrested for inciting a crowd at Lollapalooza after he told fans to rush the stage there, as well.

This year, La Flame reportedly also encouraged fans to jump from a second-level balcony at a concert in New York. One fan jumped from the third level, injuring himself in the process. The fan was hospitalized, but not before Scott gave him a ring off his hand.

The show must go on. Scott is performing at Grand Rapids tonight (May 19) before continuing his “Birds Eye View Tour” through July 9. After that, he will embark on Kendrick Lamar’s “The DAMN. Tour” on July 12 in Phoenix.
