Meek Mill Listens to Drake's 'Back to Back' for Motivation

Contrary to popular belief, Meek Mill doesn’t mind playing Drake’s “Back to Back.” In fact, the Philadelphia rapper apparently uses it as motivation.

Over the weekend, the Maybach Music Group spitter shared a video of himself listening to the scathing diss track on Snapchat. “I play this for motivation,” he wrote. “Back 2 back aventadors.”

Meek’s reference to the track and the Lamborghini ride comes on the heels of a heated beef with the OVO boss. But this isn’t the first time he’s given the song props.

In October of 2016, Mill also said the song was “hot,” while denying its negative effects during an interview with the “Tax Season” podcast.

“I ain’t think it was no shit that people was gonna be like, ‘You got killed,'” he said. “I thought it was hot [but] like when we shoot at ni**as, you gotta shoot a ni**a through the heart. When you wake up in the mirror, you looking in the mirror, you hearing what the ni**a told you, some shit about yourself that you can’t even deal with. That’s how we battle where we come from.”

Up next, Meek is working on a DC4 follow-up titled Wins & Losses, according to Rick Ross. “I love the name of Meek’s new album, Wins & Losses, because that’s what it’s about, ni**a,” he recently said. “You just gotta add up more wins. You’re gonna lose…But that’s why I tell y’all. Make sure y’all get it.”

Mill, who recently dropped his three-track EP Meekend Music, is also gearing up to go on the “Against All Odds Tour” with Yo Gotti in July.
