New Music: Chris Brown feat. Joelle James - 'Scream'

  /  10.15.2016

Chris Brown wants to make you “Scream” on his collaboration with Joelle James off Kevin Hart: What Now? The Mixtape Presents Chocolate Droppa.

Over a sample of New Edition’s classic “Can You Stand the Rain,” Breezy and Joelle deliver a steamy ballad that asks for love.

“On my darkest days,” sings Brown. “Girl, when I can’t seem to find a little piece of mine / Can you scream my name?”

Meanwhile, Joelle—who is signed to Breezy’s imprint—has some woes of her own to share. “Lately, I just feel like giving up,” she sings. “Lately, everything has been too rough / I know you’re missing all of my calls / I let you see all of my flaws.”

Released yesterday, the official soundtrack to Hart’s What Now? stand-up film features a bevy of stars, including Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Trey Songz, Migos, T.I., Lil Yachty, Wale, and Nick Jonas, among others.

Listen to “Scream” off Droppa’s debut mixtape below.
