New Music: Ro James feat. G-Eazy - 'Already Knew That (Remix)'
From Germany to the Bay, Ro James and G-Eazy join forces on the “Already Knew That (Remix).”
Just like the original, the bounce-driven track allows the German-born, New York-raised crooner to sing about his musical influence while trying to spit game. “You make me feel some kind of way,” he sings. “I need your body every day / I’m like a young Marvin in his hey.”
Young Gerald, meanwhile, explains how he feels about a potential lover. “If I make you mine, I’ll never let you go,” raps the Yay Area MC. “Something ’bout you is so special though / But I’m just telling you what you already know.”
This Sunday, Ro’s “Permission” will be battling it out for the Best R&B Performance Grammy. “Lots of artist have been nominated for a Grammy but this MY first one,” he recently tweeted. “Still on my first single. Blessings on blessings.”
James is currently on his “XIX Tour,” which started Feb. 3 in Portland and is set to run through March 11 in Memphis.
