New Music: Shawty Lo feat. Boosie Badazz & Alexis Branch - 'B.I.G.'

  /  03.14.2017

Shawty Lo’s memory lives on with the release of his Boosie Badazz and Alexis Branch-assisted single “B.I.G.” off his posthumous album R.I.C.O., due March 24.

Over hard-hitting production, Shawty rhymes about his dreams and aspirations. “I do it B.I.G.,” he raps. “Know my granny looking down and I know she proud of me.” He adds: “I still became a king / As long as I’m around, I’ma always do my thing.”

Following a somber hook from Branch, Boosie unleashes “the pain” and “the passion” in his bars. “The times when the money low,” he adds. “The pain Bankhead feel the day they lost Shawty Lo.”

“B.I.G.” will join the Lyfe Jennings-assisted “My Love” on R.I.C.O. Elsewhere, the LP is set to feature Ralo, O.T. Genasis, Yung Ralph, and Shawty’s children, Quando and Keke.

Shawty Lo tragically died as the result of a car crash in September of 2016. The late rapper has since been honored by the likes of Beyoncé and Rick Ross.
