Meek Mill Denied Bail Request

  /  12.04.2017

Meek Mill won’t be coming home this Christmas.

The Pennsylvania Superior Court has rejected the rapper’s bail petition, ordering Judge Genece Brinkley to make her own ruling. Now, Judge Brinkley has shot down the bail motion, as well, according to TMZ.

In legal documents, Judge Brinkley says that the Philadelphia MC is a “flight risk” and “danger to the community.” She also suggests that his drug tests might not be valid and that he may have used “Fast Flush” to cleanse his system.

Meek Mill’s legal team has been at odds with the judge, accusing her of improper conduct. They have also filed a motion to remove her from the case. The Maybach Music Group rapper’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, said that Judge Brinkley’s decision “continues her long pattern of unfair treatment.” He plans to appeal the decision.

Meek Mill is currently serving 2-4 years for violating probation. His arrest has been a hot topic for the likes of JAY-Z, Rick Ross, Drake, Colin Kaepernick, and Reverend Al Sharpton, who’s joined the #FreeMeekMill movement.

“He is representative of something far more than his stardom,” said Rev. Sharpton. “He is a symbol of the abuse of the system that will violate you over nothing and end up ruining the potential and the ability to move forward in life.”
