Ariana Grande Performs 'No Tears Left to Cry' at Coachella

  /  04.21.2018

Ariana Grande might have “No Tears Left to Cry,” but she does have surprises left to give. On Friday (April 20), the pop princess shocked the Coachella crowd when she descended upon Kygo’s set for the first live performance of her new single.

Grande’s manager Scooter Braun fueled rumors about the appearance when he asked her what she was doing via Twitter. Shortly after this, Ari posted a video of herself and boyfriend Mac Miller on their way to the desert in a helicopter.

Ari’s moment arrived in the middle of Kygo’s set. She debuted lavender hair and a matching ensemble, complete with a body-hugging top, tutu, thigh-high heels, and black fanny pack.

It was also the live debut of her fourth album’s lead single, a triumphant track inspired by the 2017 Manchester bombing. The song dropped on Friday, along with a Dave Meyers-directed video that pulled inspiration from Inception.

For his part, Kygo also delivered an emotionally-charged set. It ended with a tribute to Avicii, the Swedish DJ who died earlier in the day. He was 28.

Watch Ariana turn it up at Coachella.
