Iggy Azalea and Playboi Carti Spark Engagement Rumors
Are Iggy Azalea and Playboi Carti headed down the aisle?
The couple is sparking engagement rumors after the In My Defense rapper took to Instagram Stories on Thursday night (July 4) to show off a diamond ring on her finger. Immediately fans started speculating that she and boyfriend Playboi Carti might be engaged before Iggy deleted the photo.
According to Page Six, Iggy’s “Stella” ring was designed by Australian designer Stefano Canturi and features a large emerald- or cushion-cut center stone surrounded by a geometric ring of emerald-cut diamonds.
The couple, who has been dating since last September, have kept their relationship private. The two met while Carti was overseas on tour and moved in together by December 2018.
During an interview with The FADER, Carti opened up about dating the Aussie rapper. “Once I started talking to her, I just cut off everybody,” he said. “It was over with.”
Their relationship remains strictly personal–they haven’t collaborated and don’t plan to. “That’s a whole ‘nother thing,” he said. “I support everything she does.”
Iggy was previously engaged to NBA star Nick Young. The two dated before calling it off in June 2016.
