Eminem's 'Killshot' Has Biggest Hip-Hop Debut in YouTube History

Eminem took aim at Machine Gun Kelly and broke a record in the process.

“Killshot,” the rapper’s scathing MGK diss track, had the largest debut of any hip-hop song in the history of YouTube, according to the company.

The official audio of “Killshot” earned a record 38.1 million views on YouTube in its first 24 hours of release on Friday (Sept. 14). It currently has over 81 million views. Additionally, “Killshot” has the third biggest overall debut of any song in YouTube history.

“Killshot” is a response to Machine Gun Kelly’s Eminem diss “Rap Devil.” The latter was inspired by Em’s MGK diss on “Not Alike” from his surprise album Kamikaze, which topped the Billboard 200.

Kanye West and Lil Pump also broke their own all-time 24-hour view records on YouTube with the video for “I Love It,” which received 13.9 million views in its first 24 hours. The song, which inspired the “I Love It” Challenge, debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100.
