Meek Mill Sends Cease and Desist to 6ix9ine Over 'ZAZA' Video

  /  02.24.2021

Meek Mill is not happy with his unexpected appearance in 6ix9ine’s latest video.

On Friday, 6ix9ine released his “ZAZA” music video featuring footage from his recent confrontation with Meek outside an Atlanta club. At one point, Tekashi zooms in on the Philly rapper’s face and adds his own commentary: “It was at this moment that he knew he fu**ed up.”

The same day the video debuted, Meek’s legal team fired off a cease and desist letter to the head of 6ix9ine’s label, Create Music Group, demanding that CMG “immediately removes the video from YouTube, other streaming sites, and all other public platforms, without further comment or disparagement toward our client.”

If they don’t comply, Meek’s lawyers have threatened to pursue litigation against Tekashi’s label CMG as well as “secure compensatory damages” based on revenue generated from the video. The explicit clip, which currently has 33 million views, has been unlisted from YouTube but is still viewable.

Despite the legal threat, 6ix9ine shared the cease and desist letter with his 23 million Instagram followers while calling Meek a “bitch.” In his caption, he continued to taunt his rival: “HOW YOU START SOMETHING YOU CANT FINISH????? HE WANT TO BE TAKEN OUT THE VIDEO BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE LAUGHING AT HIM.”

During their heated exchange, Meek claims 6ix9ine ran up on him and tried to provoke a fight “for the love of a viral moment.” Meek says he spat on him and “almost smoked him” before he retreated. Meek appeared to respond with a 6ix9ine diss track, which includes the lyrics, “You a bitch, he a rat / He a fraud on the ‘Gram like ‘Who is that?'”

Meanwhile, 6ix9ine continues to fuel his beef with Lil Durk with a series of posts on social media.
