New Music: Solange – ‘I Decided’

“I Decided” is the first single off Solange Knowles’ sophomore album Soul Angel and the Hadley Street Dreams due in August via Geffen Records. As we reported last week, the track was produced by The Neptunes and written by Cee-Lo Green. The upbeat song has a Motown sound, reminiscent of the Jackson 5. In addition to The Neptunes and Cee-Lo, Solange is working with Lil Wayne, Mark Ronson, and Jack Splash (Alicia Keys, John Legend).

    If it ain’t beyonce ya’ll haters always got sumthing negative to say. The Song is Hot!!!! It’s sumthing different old skool wit a motown feel. Solo’s first album was good & I’m sure this album will be just as good as the first one. So get off beyonce’s pussy give solonge a chance cuz doing what b can’t do………….Make Good Music!!!!!!!!!!!

    i kinda like it but I have to agree that she got the record deal just because her sister’s a superstar and her daddy’s a manager. This is exactly how Ray j ended up in music. Shoot, if I were beyonce i would demand half of Solange’s income for the career boost!!lol
