Danity Kane will debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with their sophomore album Welcome to the Dollhouse. The album moved 236,000 units, surpassing the first week sales of their first album. It also marks the biggest first week from a female pop or R&B group since Destiny’s Child in 2001. In addition, the album is 2008’s second biggest-selling debut thus far. Danity Kane goes down in history as the first female group to debut at No. 1 with their debut and sophomore album releases.

“This number one is for our fans, everything we do is for them,” said the members of Danity Kane. “We would like to thank God, our families, Bad Boy, and Atlantic for all their love and continued support.”

Congrats to all the ladies! Shout out to D. Woods.
