Rap-Up.com || New Music: Ciara f/ Ludacris

Listen to a good quality version of “High Price,” one of the songs off Ciara’s third album Fantasy Ride, in stores this November. The track was produced by Tricky Stewart and features Ludacris. The conceptual album will be divided into three discs— Groove City, Crunktown, and Kingdom of Dance.

Ciara’s collaborators include T-Pain, Lil Jon, Danja, and Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins. Learn more about the album here.

I like that she tried sumthing different but now its time to take it a step further. This cut seems like something a new artist would do not cici……..I thought that she was gonna switch it up but she dropped the ball IMO. Okay, so I usually don’t comment on blogsites and such, but, this I just COULDN’T avoid. “High Price” is so innovative, and I think Ciara is really bringin’ it in this record. Like, we all know that Ciara isn’t the ‘strongest’ vocalist, but, she works with what she has a produces solid material. She appeals to her audience and does a very good job of reinventing her sound. She creating club records that don’t ALL have the same lyrical content, and what I love most about this song is how she incorporated opera. Like, can you say genius? How creative can you get? I hate to be so wordy, and I’m not tryin’ to beat a dead horse but, there are PLENTY of artist that can sing alot better than Ciara (Rihanna, Tiearra Mari, Beyonce). But, how many of them, aside from Rihanna and Beyonce, have been able to make their mark in music today? It’s a VERY difficult thing to do. I respect Ciara for her growth as an artist, and her consistency in putting out solid material.

I’m definatley going to have 2 disagree with alot of you! The single is vicious…I was 1st introduced to it at her callback auditions for her dance agency, UDA…it was actually written by the dream and she wanted to take on a new sound and though its not what everyone is used to, you cannot deny the fact that its hot! The lyrics are Fire and she sounds pretty good singing it the way that she does. I Just think that people werent expecting the way she delivered it. But please dont hate on my girl yall because she has plenty talent. & if some of the people above think her career is over why were both her albums multi-platinum? Just wait for the next album because Fantasy Ride is her most mature work yet….O yea You guys catch me in the High Price Video…lol-CICI’s Dancer!{UDA}…(Well we really will find out this week if thats the single but we already learned the choreography so it might as well be)

She brung it with this one. Its new, its different, she has re-invented herself. Haters fallback, she\’s a multi-platinum selling artist she will never be irrelevant. And regardless of her not being a powerhouse vocalist her singing is point, and she knows how to work with the little range she has, and like somebody has already said she has made her mark in music, and her music is really meaningful. I have been waiting so long for this ish! lol. its already on my myspace page. Ciara came hard on this track and it was so unexpected. She always does seem to amaze her crowd of fans (me included). I strongly have to agree with #14. I love Ciara and she definately isn\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\’t the strongest vocalist, but her energy is so crazy regardless ya gotta love it! Some people are harsh. I really respect how Ciara works with what she has. Her vocal delivery on this track is FAR DIFFERENT from what anyone is putting out lately. Lastly, I heard Ciara is trying not to make this the 1st single from the new album while her label put it out in hopes that it would be. It took me 3 listen\’s to get into this song. At first it sounded weird, then it sounded Crazy Sick. Im going to give this song a thumbs up for its innovative approach. Tricky Stewart\’s beats are rediculous. Luda\’s 16 was crazy. He killed it. Ciara, what more can i say. Still sounds sexy.

well first off let me say that this track is amazing,not only is she showing her growth as a vocalist she is showing control in her music.the track isnt for everyone,it is gritty hard crunk music not that soft sounding stuff that u get with rihanna,and another thing to the haters,lets c u get up there and sing,dance and put out a decent album.ciara has sold more records than chris brown(chris brown and exclusive)and rihanna(good girl gone bad usic of the sun and rihanna)have combined with just the sales of goodies,not forgetting the number one album the evolution,she is the most talented arist of her day.Lastly ludacris is fire,the beat is sick and his flows amazing i thank him.Ciara doesnt need luda becuase she does the thing on her own.
