New Music: Various Artists – ‘Just Stand Up’

Here’s a first listen to “Just Stand Up,” the charity single in support of Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C), a new initiative to raise philanthropic dollars for cancer research. The track features an all-star lineup of females including Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Fergie, Sheryl Crow, Miley Cyrus, Melissa Etheridge, Ashanti, Natasha Bedingfield, Keyshia Cole, Ciara, Leona Lewis, LeAnn Rimes, and Carrie Underwood.

The song was produced by L.A. Reid and Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds—their first creative reunion on record in nearly two decades. “Just Stand Up” will be released to radio and will be available to purchase exclusively on the iTunes Store starting September 2nd.

    What an amazing song for a good cause. In addition to the beautiful melody, this song also showcases the stars vocal ability. By saying that, i could only hear Beyonce, Carry Underwood, Ashanti, Maria Cary, and Mary J Blige verses. The rest in my opinion did not do any good for this song.

    lol, Mariah only has one line in the song, which verse are you speaking of ? You are probably mistaking her for another singer.

    For anyone who complains about the artists that came together to create this song:

    It doesn\’t matter whose voice is heard and whose voice is not. The song is not about the artists. Its about the message they\’re singing about. It\’s amazing that they are all working together to help raise money and awareness for an ailment that claims far too many lives.

    Listen to the lyrics, not the voices and maybe you\’ll get the message to.

    Nice song. But I agree it’s mising Alicia Keys. She’s by far the best female artist out right now, but they have nerve to choose Miley Cyrus? LOL!

    This song is blazing up on dutch radio Reflex FM Amsterdam! It’s movin up fast in The Urban Top 100 Chart. Last week new on Nr.40. This week jumped to N.r 22!
