Rap-Up.com || Album Showdown: Ross vs. Roth

The veteran, Rick Ross, and the rookie, Asher Roth, square off in this week’s album releases. The Bawse will release his third album Deeper Than Rap, while the 23-year-old newbie unleashes his debut Asleep in the Bread Aisle on 4/20.

Ross’ previous two albums both debuted at No. 1 with first-week sales over 180,000, plus a lil’ beef never hurt anyone. Asher is benefiting from lots of buzz and holds the No. 18 single in the country with “I Love College.”

Who do you think will rule the charts, Ross or Roth? Try saying that 10 times fast.

Unfortunately for Hip Hop, Ross will sell the most records. But for real, Asleep In The Bread Aisle is at list 10 times better than Ross’ shit.
No diss, just facts.
If Ross will sell more, it’s just because of this stupid gay ass “diss” he’s makin’ with Fifty.

Asher will win in the long run but cant no matter what win first week. His label is only shipping 100k units (they dont get it) and Ross is with LA REID who is shipping 400k units. Its like opening in 4 theatres with a movie compared to 400 theatres. Asher is SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE. He will win the Oscar in the end but not be #1 in the box office first week

Well I’m not really into Rick Ross like that and Asher’s aight, but I would have to go with Ross. Only because he’s more known, not that that always matters. Now Asher could pull it off, since his album comes out a day earlier, which gives him the upper hand. (Asher Roth 4/20 and Rick Ross 4/21) Also with Rascal Flatts and Miley killin the charts it’ll be interesting to see.
