Rap-Up.com || New Music: Maxwell

Maxwell returns with his first album in eight years. Lead by the single “Pretty Wings,” of which only a snippet had previously been released, the soul crooner’s fourth studio album BLACKsummers’night is the first installment in a trilogy. The project is due July 7, while the video will premiere today.

“It’s about the last relationship I had,” Maxwell says of the delicate song. “How you meet the person of your dreams but at the wrong time. She was a serious muse and the song is a testament to what I wanted to say and say, to her.”
