Rap-Up.com || On Set of Teairra Mari’s ‘Sponsor’ Video

Teairra Mari doesn’t need to look any further. The R&B vixen has found herself a “Sponsor” in Soulja Boy Tell’em. The 19-year-old rapper spoils her with Louis bags, manis and pedis, and plenty of cash in the video for the new single from her oft-delayed sophomore album. An absent Gucci Mane spits a verse and Rev Run’s daughter Vanessa Simmons makes a cameo in the clip, filmed at a mansion in the Los Angeles area on Tuesday (Feb. 23).

song is garbage and i know she won’t promote this just like she didn’t promote “cause a scene”. i don’t know what this chick expects; it’s been almost six years since you released your one kinda successful album, so you need to work 100x harder than the average chick to get your voice heard. she’s always partying (read her twitter) and then she took a random probably straight-to-dvd movie role instead of actually putting this album out. i don’t see “at this point” being released at all and if it does, it’ll be a very very quiet release.
she’s a talented, gorgeous girl, but come on. get it together.

The failure of the previous singles (Buzz) has nothing to do with her not promoted them; rather lack of label effort to push her to where she needs to be. I’ve always thought “find my way back” should have been the lead single for the project, but i guess the label can’t think farther than its rear end. I do believe “Sponsor” will find success cause it was good enough to catch my attention.
