Rap-Up.com || New Music: Kid Cudi – ‘Did You Get It’

If you didn’t get it when Kid Cudi released his debut album Man on the Moon: The End of Day last year, maybe you’ll get it now. “Did You Get It” is the latest track to leak from YMHD’s upcoming mixtape Lime Light Exclusives 3, which also includes will.i.am and Nicki Minaj’s “Check It Out.”

Over a sparse marching beat, Cudder reminisces on his decision to move out of his native Cleveland, and putting off homework in high school to put pen to paper and scribble some rhymes. Though it’s unclear if the track will appear on his highly-anticipated sophomore album Man on the Moon 2: The Legend of Mr. Rager (now due Nov. 9), it sure is a smooth prelude.

@Mr Xclusive, I’m not a stoner and I have 125 CuDi songs on my phone. He’s so deep, I realize his life struggles. I think a “shitty artist” would be someone like Drake, Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne, etc. KiD CuDi bleeds talent and drinks lyrical genius.

@Mr. Xclusive if thats the reasoning behind why you dont like him is because only smokers listen to him, then that could be said for any type of music. Do only hics listen to country? or do only hippies listen to jimi hendrix? NO!!!!!!!!! so not all people who listen to cudi are smokers and his shit is amazing
