Rap-Up.com || Jay-Z’s Manager: ‘Watch the Throne’ Will Not Leak

With less than a week to go before Watch the Throne hits iTunes, don’t expect any leaks. Those hoping to get their hands on Jay-Z and Kanye West’s collaborative album early are in for disappointment.

“It is not going to leak,” tweeted a confident John Meneilly, Jay-Z’s manager. In order to prevent the album from leaking in advance, digital and physical release dates were staggered.

Throne, which boasts contributions from Beyoncé, Q-Tip, Frank Ocean, Swizz Beatz, and more, will be available exclusively on iTunes on August 8 and at all digital and physical retailers on August 12.

The Otis Redding-sampled single “Otis” is already off to a good start, moving 47-12 on the Billboard Hot 100 in its second week. The album remains in the top 3 on iTunes based on pre-orders alone.

Tickets for the rap titans’ joint tour were available for pre-sale on Tuesday, while the general public will be able to purchase tickets starting August 8.

Who the heck cares? After Kanye and Jay-Z’s latest releases the number sales have been disappointing. Plus have any of yall heard of any of their songs for those albums making the rotations on your radio stations??? Didn’t think so. These two guys ain’t nothing but recycling raps, with a fashion that’s way to young for them. For christ-sakes, Jay you 50 years old and trying to look 16 years old doesn’t fly with us son!

im not going to lie i was looking forward to hearing some of the songs before they come out. i already pre ordered on itunes though so it really doesn’t matter. it will be a big surprise if the album doesn’t leak before august 8. either way there will still be those people who download it free off the internet after it is released.

Crazy this hasn’t leaked, most major releases do. Talking about they don’t get radio play #Dead. “All Of The Lights” “Run This Town” “Empire State Of Mind” all were big radio hits. Otis is the official single from this album, it’s a soul-sample with no hook, and it’s reached #12 on the main charts. Ye’s last album sold 500K the first week, Jay’s last album sold 400k. Some albums that’s the most they sale overall. Haters are in denial, Ye & Jay about to kill the game!
