Common

Common stopped by Power 106’s “The Takeover” to catch up with his friend DJ Reflex. The Chi-town rapper and now New York Times-bestselling author spoke about working with No I.D. on his upcoming album The Dreamer, The Believer (Nov. 22) and how it differs from 2008’s Universal Mind Control.

He also played a snippet of his brand new single “Blue Sky.” “It’s that good hip-hop, that good music,” he said of the No I.D. production.

Common will make the leap to television by playing a freed slave on the AMC series “Hell on Wheels,” which premieres November 6.
