« New Music: Fat Joe f/ 2 Chainz & French Montana – ‘No Country’New Music: D. Woods – ’2 the Bottom’ »TLC Plots Reunion Tour, New Album![]() TLC is reuniting on the 10-year anniversary of Left Eye’s death. Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas plan to bring back their third member for the group’s first tour in nearly a decade.
The massive U.S. trek is set to kick off later this year, a rep for the Grammy-winning R&B trio tells TMZ. So far, five major cities have been booked with more in the works. The duo plans to incorporate the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes into the performance like Dr. Dre did with Tupac Shakur at Coachella, projecting her image on a big screen and working her vocals into the live performances. Left Eye was killed 10 years ago today in a fatal car accident in Honduras. “The word anniversary means a celebration. For us her death will never be a celebration, it’s still something that hurts,” said T-Boz, while Chilli added, “Lisa is our sister. You never get over losing a family member. We love her and we miss her and that isn’t ever going to change.” To commemorate the 20th anniversary of TLC, the surviving members are working with VH1 on a made-for-TV movie series inspired by their story as well as a new album. “We’ll have new music right after the movie drops,” Chilli told Essence. “We have everybody that was there with us from the beginning on board.” TweetYou can leave a response, or trackback from your own site. 32 CommentsLeave a Reply

@HEY RAP-UP, I’m curious…is the estate of the deceased entitled to the same income/royalty as if the person were really here performing?

LeToya has a Platinum album and several successful film and TV roles, LeTavia still get checks from DC HIT Singles and has NEVER been mentioned with “IRS” “Foreclosure” or “Broke” and Farrah???? who dat?
T-Boz has a home going into foreclosure and she had to close down not one but both stores she had opened. Chilli on TV looking for a date…. I mean

I listened to “Ohhhhhh…On The TLC Tip” on the way to work this morning to commemorate the 10 year anniversary of Left Eye. Their music was fun and sometimes raunchy but always had a positive meaning behind it. TLC has quite the legacy and I hope Chilli and T-Boz keep it alive and do something soon. “CrazySexyCool” is a CLASSIC!

I knew they were gonna jump on the bandwagon ever since the Tupac Hologram…they know this is their chance to make money again, and the same goes for all the other deceased artist’s teams…
As far as a tour and a new album goes…i doubt it’ll do well…i love me some TLC and I’m def gonna support regardless….but this newer generation ain’t checkin for them, and i’m sure there’s lots of 90′s peeps who have moved on and would rather let their legacy remain as is…
Either way, I hope everything works out 4 them.
P.S. Chili should’ve never done that corny azz dating show “What Chili Wants”…I definitely think she tarnished her image, which will absolutely reflect the demand and people’s interest to want to hear new music from her…oh well, we’ll have to wait & see…

@IV ok. I am a fan/family member of T Boz & know Latavia personally. I suggest you get your facts straight before you mention shit you’ve heard on the streets. I don’t need to go into details but um, you know what I’m getting at. TLC is and will always be the “best selling female group of all time” so why don’t you Google shit. Know what yours blobbing about before you say things. You never know who is watching. Thanx ! ! ! TLC is forever.
