Kid Cudi Travels to Infinity and Beyond in 'Teleport 2 Me' Video
Kid Cudi blasted into another galaxy while shooting the video for “Teleport 2 Me, Jamie,” a single off WZRD’s debut album. The G.O.O.D. Music rapper and Dot Da Genius called on some special effects pros to help bring their vision to life. Mr. Rager, who wrote the song about his real-life girlfriend Jamie Baratta, filmed one scene in an infinity room that’s meant to look like outerspace.
“It was about when he was on tour traveling and he just really missed his girlfriend and he talked to her and he wished she could physically teleport to him wherever he was,” said directing duo Walter Robot. “We were trying to exemplify it by infinity, like you can’t ever fill that space when somebody’s gone.”
Cudi also performed with former “Voice” contestant Dia Frampton on Tuesday’s episode of NBC’s singing competition. Check out their performance of “Don’t Kick the Chair” below.
