Rap-Up.com || Usher Performs ‘Scream’ at Billboard Music Awards

Usher worked his magic with a slick set at Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards. Channeling Gene Kelly, the dapper singer performed his pop single “Scream” with a lady in red, who he transformed into a look-alike. Watch them thrill with their synchronized moves.

Usher killed it. The last R&B album to sell big was his Confessions. He’s the best all around entertainer and while Scream sounds pop, I’ll give it a pass because it has that MJ pop appeal. I can still rock urban dances to it.

If I’m honest this was kinda BORING. Even though Chris Brown mined all the flipping way thru his performance atleast he was ENGAGING and edgy. This was dull. Usher lost his edge.

@Angela u have to be kidding right? I would love for any of u to show me an usher performance from 2010 till now where he lip synced, he even sung at the superbowl in 2011. And usher’s time is nowhere near up I hate when ppl say dat. His last album went platinum and he won 2 grammys off of it. If that’s over or washed up or whatever I would love to be.

Usher is still the man. It does make me laugh that people think being in your mid 30s is old and the BBMA gave out awards to people like Whitney Houston and the great Stevie Wonder. Stevie was another child star who had adult success. Did people tell him he’s too old and stop playing that piano? The new generation I feel just don’t like competition, so if Usher is gone we won’t notice how much CB’s performances lack. That is not how the game is people, stars go when the fans go. Usher showed why he has me for life.
