Rap-Up.com || New Music: Frank Ocean f/ André 3000

Frank Ocean teams with André 3000 on “Pink Matter,” one of the few collaborations on his new album channel ORANGE, which rocketed to No. 1 on iTunes hours afters its release. The OutKast MC adds a stellar verse (“If models are made for modeling/ Thick girls are made for cuddlin’”) and plays a funky guitar solo on the vulnerable record.

Big Boi revealed that Frank originally wanted both him and André on the track, but Three Stacks didn’t want an OutKast collaboration on anyone else’s album. However, Big Boi may still add his own verse to the song.

The album is good but nowhere near as good as Nostalgia Ultra. Expected Channel Orange to be a lot better a lot of the same tempo songs on the whole album.

Good track, but who does Andre 3000 think he is? He don’t want an Outkast collab featured on another artist’s album, even if it’ll help boost his career? The man is on drugs thinking he is the end all be all of hip-hop! SMH At least Jay-Z is open to collabs these days (ie. Young Jeezy, Rick Ross & especially Dr. Dre). Snobby, exclusive rappers…that’s that shit I DON’T LIKE!

I dont know why that album is number 1 on itunes, because there was only 3 songs worth listen too on that album… Everything else was really slow and sounded the same…

I love this beat! it’s old school, and Andre playin that guitar makes me want to jump up out my clothes, lol! And of course Frank singing ….mmmmmmmmmm XXX is all I think of :D They sound wonderful together ;)
