Beyoncé Reads Letter to First Lady Michelle Obama [Video]
Beyoncé’s admiration for Michelle Obama is no secret. The superstar singer penned a handwritten letter to the First Lady on her website in April, praising her as a role model, and is now reciting the endearing words in a video on Barack Obama’s official YouTube channel.
“I wrote a letter ’cause I wanted her to know that I’m very grateful for everything she’s doing for our country and also for women around the world,” said B, who partnered with the First Lady on the “Let’s Move! Flash Workout” campaign to help fight childhood obesity.
“I’m so in awe of Michelle Obama,” she continued. “Everytime I see her, she inspires me, she empowers me, she encourgaes me to live a healthy lifestyle, to support our veterans.”
The First Lady returned the compliment, tweeting, “@Beyonce Thank you for the beautiful letter and for being a role model who kids everywhere can look up to.”
