@Vitty, She shouldn’t have won that show, nor is her voice worth $5 million. What a waste of money.

@MinajRules2012, I think its nice for the people who are into Pop music ….
But one thing is for sure she has a beautiful voice, its better than the hottest female singers out here now a days .. ( Rihanna, Keishia etc )Meaning she has potently but isn’t using it…
I don’t personal like it, i’m more of a straight R&B person but an’t based your comment one peoples weakness when your behind a computer doing nothing

I wasn’t feeling it like AT ALL at first… but honestly, by the third time she was singing the chorus I was singing along. DANG. I don’t hate it but I feel like it’s just short of being a great pop song. I was really hoping since she has the carribean roots she’d go that route but hey… maybe on the second outing.

@georgia23, thank you for making a critic with no hate and I agreed she has some potential but this generation don’t like to do real R&B no more she is tailor made for that

It’s …. underwhelming for me. Melanie has a beautiful voice, but Simon was hailing her as the next Whitney Houston on the show just because of her range. Even on XFactor UK, winners Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke have made the switch from more R&B/soul to pop. Lewis was one thing, but as an Alexandra fan, I’m not too pleased.

@LMFAO_Hoe, How do you know???? There are many people out there that are UNTRAINED and have better vocal skills. No one knew MJ and Whitney before they became who they were as entertainers/musicians, so any one else can. This world goes on after them. R.I.P.

Why am I not surprised they put her in the pop lane?-____________- Had the nerve to put a powerful voice to a watered down sound we always hearing.

Seriously? Girl, you a have a voice to make history with.. Go back to the studio and come out when you don’t sound like Pitbull

I think it is interesting how she mixed pop, country, and soul in a techno song. I might have to listen to it a couple of times to really like it. I really like the lyrics though..

I don’t know why you all are so surprised that this is the kind of album she’s making. This is what’s hot now. UNFORTUNATELY, this particular record isn’t HOT at all. It’s an embarrassment for her vocals. They should of went the Beyonce route with her, a perfect blend of R&B and Pop.

It is quite catchy, but I’m not digging her changed vocals. They should keep computers away from her voice.

While this girl has the ingredients to be as big as Mariah Carey (soaring vocals, bags of personality, an undiscernable talent) people like l.a. Reid will ruin her chances. Sh*tty bargain bin records like this aren’t even worthy aren’t even worth trashy artists like Heidi montag! This sounds like a cross between Starships (by nicki Minaj), bleeding love (by Leona Lewis) and any t-pain record. If this is the best l.a. Reid can come up with since his move to wood records, defjam should be laughing their *sses off that they got shut of Reid. Rihannah’s talk that talk did fine without him. Right now Sony must be wishing they never set their sights on Reid. He’s ruining amaro’s career before it started and he’s ensuring that the 35k fans ciara has left (yes the only ones who bought her last album) desert her for good with the aweful record that was “sweat”.

Wow…Melanie has too much potential to be doing tracks like this. When will Pop radio move away from this sound.

OMG it is horrible on so many levels. Melanie has a voice but apparently no sense on what kind of music she should be singing. Or is it LA Reids fault..perhaps his day is done

OMG. They’re not marketing this girl right. I still remember the 1st time she auditioned.. I was like… “HOLY BEYONCE”!!! They should’ve put her as RnB/Island style thing.. I thought she was Japanese when I 1st saw this.. And i missed this 2 times.
