BET Hip Hop Awards 2012 Performances![]() Rick Ross and Young Jeezy made headlines for their backstage brawl at the BET Hip Hop Awards 2012, but the music took center stage at Monday’s pre-taped show. The festivities kicked off with a performance from Wiz Khalifa. The Taylor Gang leader was joined by Jeezy and his fellow Taylor Juicy J on the remix to his single “Work Hard, Play Hard.” He was followed by Meek Mill, who set the stage ablaze with a fiery performance of “Amen” and his Dreams and Nightmares single “Young & Gettin It” featuring Kirko Bangz. Lyricist of the Year winner Kendrick Lamar brought the women, weed, and weather to Atlanta with “The Recipe” and “Swimming Pools (Drank)” off his upcoming debut good kid, m.A.A.d city. The evening also featured sets from Rick Ross, Diddy, French Montana, Machine Gun Kelly, Future, and T.I., but the highlight was the Chris Lighty tribute starring 50 Cent, Missy Elliott, A Tribe Called Quest, Fat Joe, and Busta Rhymes.
