Rap-Up.com || Mariah Carey Gets Back in the Studio with The-Dream

Although her “American Idol” gig continues to grab headlines, Mariah Carey is actively back in the studio working on her next album. She reunited with The-Dream this week, sharing a photo with her Lambs on Twitter.

“Living The-American-Dream pon de studio,” tweeted Mimi, rocking a pair of hot pink leggings and a black tank top as The-Dream hid his face behind a fan of money.

The two previously worked together on her 2009 album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel including the singles “Obsessed” and “H.A.T.E.U.” The-Dream is now Executive Vice President of A&R at Mariah’s label, Def Jam Records.

Mariah seems to be recruiting plenty of big names for her next project. The pop diva was in the lab with R. Kelly during her trip to Chicago last month and enlisted Rick Ross and Meek Mill for her single “Triumphant (Get ‘Em).”

Triumphant wasn’t even her single, it was a buzz single, which did pretty well since she didn’t really promote it at all. She’s gonna come out with something better I hope.

I love Mariah. She’s a legend worth over $500 million dollars. She has a voice like no one else. This album will have many #1 singles and will be a #1 album like all of her past albums were.

I loved the ‘Memoirs’ album – still playing it till this day, but Dream is not really popping anymore. Those songs he produced on that album were good, but Mariah needs a change. I really want her to stop working with people that don’t showcase her talent. She should work with Missy again, since they’re both returning.

Her last single went number one in the US dance charts. No small thing, and giving her her 16th number billboard dance song. She has 18 #1 on pop charts, so yall can stay pressed. LOL

At this point in her career there’s really no need to argue about chart success and all…she hit it big time in her earlier days and now she’s just making music for her self and her fans. Number 1, 23 or 49… it doesn’t matter anymore…she has done it all already.

Can’t wait for the new album, a hit or no hit…just some new Mariah music.

ive looked around and couldnt find it available for sale anywhere…
