Alicia Keys’ flame keeps burning bright. With her new album Girl on Fire in stores now, the R&B songstress stormed the stage for a performance on the U.S. edition of “The X Factor” on Thursday. Backed by an army of dancers, she powered through the title track, which she sang earlier this month on the U.K. version of the show.
According to Billboard, Alicia’s fifth LP is expected to debut at No. 1 on next week’s Billboard 200 with 145,000 to 170,000 copies sold in its first week.

I don’t like this song, but I do like the performance. Can’t believe AK’s only had four number one singles … shows chart positions aren’t everything. Her catalog is full of classics. What sense does it make to have a ton of #1s if the songs won’t be remembered years down the road? Amazing album. This and “New Day” are the only tracks I don’t like.

I’m listening to her album as I type this and I must say it keeps getting better and better with each listen. Such an amazing album. Just everything about it…the simplicity and realness of the lyrics are everything. This might be her best album…

@Xtina, And that’s why Alicia’s album is going to be #1 next week and Xtina’s debuted at #7? It’s not fair to compare two different artists, but when people spew hatred, it’s so much fun to squash their negative spirit with positive facts.

This was a great performance. Alicia was spot on perfect and she looked amazing. I love this song and I especially love “New Day”. “Listen to Your Heart” is one song that I know is going to be a favorite and for some reason I’m really liking “101″. It sounds really good. Alicia should keep it burning because there is no one quite like her and her music reflects that so much. She is great.

I loved seeing Alicia Keys on the X Factor tonight, it was a great set and I loved the dancing. She looked great and I love her new song “Girl on Fire,” I can’t wait to hear her new album. My DISH coworker first told me about this performance so I knew I wasn’t going to miss it. I wasn’t home when it aired so I recorded it on my DISH Hopper with the PrimeTime Anytime feature. I like to set this up to record all prime time programming that comes on the four major networks, without having to set up any individual timers. This saves me a ton of time!

She does need to keep her vocal range in mind. If she continues to stretch beyond her vocal capabilities, no one will take her seriously and she will lose what little voice she has by age 40. :)
