New Music: Lady Gaga - 'Venus'

Venus

Lady Gaga takes a trip to “Venus” on her out-of-this-world new song. After giving us the singles “Applause” and “Do What U Want,” the singer explores intergalactic love on the electro thumper, which she produced.

“I can’t help but keep on dancing/ Goddess of love/ Take me to your planet/ Take me to your planet/ Take me to your leader,” she sings on the hook.

She calls herself “Aphrodite Lady Seashell Bikini” and shouts out the planets including Uranus (“Don’t you know my ass is famous”).

The song was originally slated to be the second single off ARTPOP, but after the success of “Do What U Want” with R. Kelly, she shifted her plans.

The song hits iTunes tonight, while ARTPOP arrives November 11 featuring T.I., Too $hort, and Twista (“Jewels N’ Drugs”).

Blast off with Mother Monster’s galactic banger.
