Ashanti ‘Braveheart’ Album Stream

BraveHeart

Four years after The Declaration, Ashanti ventures out on her own with her long-awaited fifth album Braveheart (Written Entertainment/eOne). In advance of its March 4 release, the R&B songstress has made the album available to stream on Pandora.

The 13 tracks include the Rick Ross-assisted single “I Got It” and dancehall jam “First Real Love” with Beenie Man, plus collaborations with French Montana and Jeremih.

“A lot of people counted me out and that feeds my hunger and ignites my passion to continue my journey,” says Ashanti on the album intro. “I will continue to thrive, continue to prosper, I will continue to be brave. I am Braveheart.”

@She’s baaaack, that’s a bit of an overstatement . Actually it’s a helluva overstatement lmao it was cute and I am happy that the album finally saw the light of day after so many years , but it wasn’t worth the wait . The album isn’t anything new . All of these songs could have been on any previously Ashanti record . No shade , just saying .

I can honestly say that I love it and don’t have to skip not one track.

The standout tracks for me are “Runaway”, “3 Words”, “Love Games”, “Scars”, “Don’t Tell me no” and I will forever love “Never Should Have”.

Thank you Ashanti for being BRAVE enough to do this on your own.

I don’t care how this album does on the charts, I just appreciate the fact that Ashanti did this on her own and made it to this point. The album is SOLID. I will be purchasing the deluxe edition at Target next Tuesday!

Ashanti just shit on every female artist in the game with this album. idc how many copies this shit sells cause this album is hands down a classic. You can tell a lot of work, effort, and experience went into this. From beginning to end an amazing project. Period!!!

Ashanti is one of the few females who will always stay true to herself. Incredible incredible album. She did not disappoint and anyone who says this album sucks your ass is irrelevant go kick rocks and just go about your miserable day to day cause you wouldnt know what greatness is if it slapped you in the face

Well, I’ve listened but I’m not completely sold but on it just years. I truly respect Ashanti for being on her grind but this album sounds too ‘Trappy’ for me. I dunno, as much as I love powerhouses, I’ve always had a thing for mellower voices like Ashanti because they focus on stylization of their instrument and sometimes emote better but the beats drown her out. Oh and why are black people are always the first to put down artists doing their thing instead of supporting them if they truly enjoy the music. Then they will be the first cry culture appropriation when white artists thrive in the R&B and Hip-Hop genres? Quit that shit.

She’s back. Concrete Rose was as close as I thought she’d eve come to being forreal. Dope tracks on that … “Still Down” “Only U”, “Don’t Let Them” and “Don’t Leave Me Alone” were fire, but this album is where it’s at. Glad she’s back. Dope cover too! Reflects the album as a whole very well.

She’s back! This album is where it’s at. ‘Concrete Rose’ was badass, but was too long imo, too many fillers. “Only U”, “Don’t Let Them”, “Don’t Leave Me Alone” were major standouts tho! I knew she could bring a dope focused album, took a while, but it’s here. Definitely not rushed. I’m impressed. Glad you’re back, Ashanti!

Breaveheart is most definetly worth the wait and I cant wait to have it in my hands. I knew she wasn’t playing around and CLEARLY this album says so. Runaway is definitely a hit! #TeamAshanti

  32. Answer That?

When will your fav fund there whole album by themselves out of there own budget, run there own record label, pay for there own music videos and promotion all at the same time. Please tell me. Ashanti is the real deal!!!!!

    [Reply]

    King Fierce Reply:

@Answer That?, Beyoncé did it December 13th of last year.
    /-)

    [Reply]

    Dave Reply:

@King Fierce, So Beyonce has her own record label too?

    [Reply]

    KingzCircle Reply:

@King Fierce, Beyonce did not fund her album on her own nor does she have her own label. she has a record deal which means she had TONS of help.
Ashanti wrote, funded and managed all this on her own. Nice try tho…

    [Reply]

    LadiiJ88 Reply:

@King Fierce, Beyoncé is still under Columbia so she has a major label backing her.

    [Reply]

    Real talk Reply:

@King Fierce, No sorry but Beyonce is signed to a Major label. Columbia records is not an independent label. I swear people don’t give Ashanti credit do you know how hard it is to do what she’s doing now and without the help of a major backing her up? That alone is a struggle but next week Ashanti will have an album in stores and she did it all on her own. That right there is something to be extremely proud of. And she didn’t need to sell her soul.
