Pharrell and Gwen Stefani

Pharrell Williams was the man of the night at Thursday’s iHeartRadio Music Awards at the Shrine Auditorium in L.A. Not only did he close out the show with a performance, The Neptunes hitmaker was also presented with the first-ever iHeartRadio Innovator Award.

Gwen Stefani introduced her fellow “Voice” coach as “pretty much the coolest guy ever” before his famous friends including BeyoncĂ©, Oprah, Usher, Shakira, and John Legend honored him in a video montage.

The man himself eventually took the stage to perform a medley of hits starting with his new G I R L single “Come Get It Bae” and continuing with “Blurred Lines,” “Get Lucky,” and “Happy.”

He thanked his wife, son, and fans. “Thank you guys so much for lifting me so high,” said an emotional Pharrell.

Pharrell might be one of the coolest guys on the planet, definitely coolest guys in the industry.

    Ms Stefani looked fantastic.
    Ms Knowles looked stunnning.
    Ms Winfrey’s contribution was hilarious.
    Ms Fenty looked a mess.

I’m really starting to like “Come Get It Bae”, I just wish he hadn’t mimed as the rest that he sang sounded great.

Oh Pharrell, you deserve all the accolades you receive. Been a fan since I first heard your production on Blackstreet’s first album. Radio needs your music on it, because this EDM stuff is way past it’s expired date

Pharrel has always been a great artist with new and original material up until now. This stupid “Happy” song is nothing but a REMAKE of old music, just like Robin Thicke’s REMAKE last year. It is a darn shame that people are being applauded for DUMMYING THEIR TALENT DOWN in today’s political correctness bullsh8t. We got 2 more years of this dumb-is-in mentality.
