New Music: Ameriie - 'What I Want'

Ameriie is back! Five years since her last album, the singer returns to her roots on her new single “What I Want.” The funky track finds her belting over a soulful sample of Sugarhill Gang’s “Apache.” Much like her 2005 Rich Harrison-produced hit “1 Thing,” the irresistible number features a go-go rhythm and a catchy chorus.

“That’s what I want, yeah, that’s what I want,” she chants.

Ameriie has been in the studio working on the follow-up to 2009’s In Love & War, previously titled Cymatika, Vol. 1.
