Video: Snakehips feat. Zayn - 'Cruel'
Snakehips and Zayn take fans into a “Cruel” world in the colorful but gloomy video for their infectious collaboration.
“It’s such a cruel world,” sings the former One Direction member. “I’m saving all my love for you / In such a cruel world, but maybe I’ve found something good.”
With the camera zooming in and out, Zayn appears pensive throughout the brooding visual that matches the song’s original artwork aesthetic.
“Cruel” follows another impressive Snakehips release, last year’s “All My Friends,” which featured guest spots from Tinashe and Chance the Rapper. It also follows the funky Anderson .Paak-assisted “Money On Me” jam.
As for Zayn, “Cruel” arrives ahead of “Freedun,” his collaboration on M.I.A.’s forthcoming album AIM.
