Diddy and DMX

DMX Joins ‘Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour’

It’s official. DMX is joining the Bad Boy Family on the road. Dark Man X and Diddy made the announcement today (Sept. 16) with a special video message from Earl Simmons himself.

“I’m grateful to be a part of it and grateful to be as successful as I’ve been,” said X. “I’m blessed to be a part of something that clearly is an epic tour. It’s clearly something that is historical.”

X has been a special guest during the “Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour” (even praying with the Bad Boy fam on opening night), but he was not officially on the bill until now. Other surprise guests have included Kanye West, Chance the Rapper, and Jeremih, while the lineup also features Lil’ Kim, Ma$e, 112, Faith Evans, and other Bad Boy artists.

Diddy, who was recently crowned “Cash King” by Forbes, has said that the tour is a “victory lap” and not about financial gain.

“To be honest, for the amount of dates we doin’, I’m losing a lot of money,” he told Rolling Stone. “This is not about the money. This is about the music. This is about the people putting on a great show and making sure that they see the legacy in the right way. Every night, what I do get is the priceless payment of people giving a standing ovation and dancing for two and a half hours. That’s the only payment I need.”
