Preview Ariana Grande & John Legend's 'Beauty and the Beast' Duet

  /  01.31.2017

Ariana Grande and John Legend recapture the magic of “Beauty and the Beast” on the theme song to Disney’s upcoming live-action film starring Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as Beast.

Fans got a first listen of the song in the latest trailer for the movie, which hits theaters March 17. Unveiled during “The Bachelor” on Monday, the clip features a snippet of the cover, which was originally sung by Angela Lansbury in the 1991 animated film.

The Oscar-winning song was rerecorded by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson for the movie’s soundtrack, making it one of Disney’s most celebrated tracks to date from one of its most beloved animated films.

Grande and Legend take over for Dion and Bryson, but that doesn’t mean Celine won’t be involved in this edition of Beauty. The vocal powerhouse actually performs an original song “How Does a Moment Last Forever” for the film’s soundtrack, which is slated to drop March 10.

Legend and Grande’s version was produced by Ron Fair and the music video was directed by Dave Meyers (Janet Jackson, Britney Spears).

With its whimsical flair, orchestral instruments, and a touch of Disney’s usual magic, the remake allows Ariana and John to harmonize while telling the romantic tale at the heart of the film. Listen to a preview in the trailer below.
