The Weeknd Previews 'Reminder' Remix with A$AP Rocky & Young Thug

  /  07.28.2017

The Weeknd is about to issue another “Reminder” with the official remix to his Starboy single featuring Young Thug and A$AP Rocky.

The R&B crooner took to Instagram to preview the new version. The first clip, shot in a car, features an Auto-Tuned Thugger singing about his early aspirations. “I used to pray to hear my songs on the radio,” sings Jeffery, nearly mirroring Abel’s original harmonies.

The second snippet features A$AP Rocky’s nimble verse. “Young ni**a,” he raps. “Same O.G. / Staying low key / Staying 10 toes deep.”

The full “Reminder” remix is set to drop in five days, according to the XO boss. It arrives shortly after the song’s star-studded video — which features Drake, A$AP Rocky, Travis Scott, and many more — helped Abel earn five nominations at the MTV Video Music Awards, including Video of the Year, Best Direction, Best Art Direction, Best Editing, and Artist of the Year.

In addition to music, The Weeknd has announced an official release date for his first PUMA collaboration, the Parallels. The high-top sneakers go on sale Aug. 24.
