The 12-minute finale stars Thomas Q. Jones as LeToya’s leading man. Once again, he plays the role of her ex, who is trying to win her back while battling feelings for another former flame.
In this chapter, Luckett reiterates her feelings following a painful breakup. “You hurt me,” she tells Jones. “I don’t know what else to say. I put my all into us. I loved you with everything I had and I trusted you.”
Nevertheless, LeToya accepts his invitation to a ’90s-themed party, where their love is rekindled over laughter on the dance floor. In the end, Luckett winds up with Jones and the film closes with a final message: “Love Wins.”
Produced by Warryn Campbell, “In the Name” appears on LeToya’s album Back 2 Life, which arrived in May.
Next up, LeToya is set to join Mary J. Blige on select dates of her “Strength of a Woman Live” tour, including Detroit (Aug. 1), Atlanta (Aug. 8), and Los Angeles (Sept. 2).
