New Music: Kid Ink - 'Bad Habit'
R&B Ink is back. After remixing Kap G’s “Girlfriend,” Kid Ink unleashes another loose track in the form of “Bad Habit.”
Over the mellow and atmospheric instrumental by Bizness Boi, the Batgang boss sings about his girl with confidence. “Baby, you my bad habit but you know I ain’t mad at it,” he harmonizes. “Can’t nobody love you better, or do ya like I do ya, babe.”
Last month, Ink also delivered “Sweet Chin Music,” his seventh video off the 7 Series mixtape. Only one song from the project, “Bad Lil Vibe,” has yet to see a visual.
Up next, the West Coast MC is gearing up to drop his first album since 2015’s Full Speed. “With the new album coming up, I feel like I definitely been keeping it home team, you know, working with a lot of producers, writers and artists that are just around me more than anything,” he told XXL. “Ty [Dolla $ign], Hitmaka, I’ve been in the studio a lot with Jeremih; people that I just vibe with.”
According to Ink, the project will showcase a diverse sound. “I’ve been working with people who aren’t just stuck into one sound,” he added. “We’re not just trying to do one hip-hop sound, one R&B sound, one pop song. Everybody is in the studio doing so much different stuff.”
