Young Thug Won't Release Music in 2018 in Support of Deaf Brother

  /  02.23.2018

Young Thug is taking a break from music. The prolific Atlanta rapper, who recently changed his name to Sex, has announced that he will not release any music this year in order to honor his brother.

Speaking to Hypebeast, Thugger confirmed the news, saying that he will return with his highly-anticipated album Hy!£UN35 next year.

“I got a deaf brother. I got a brother who can’t hear or talk, so I want to act deaf for a year,” he explained. “I ain’t going to put out no music this year. 2019, I’m gonna put out, probably Hy!£UN35.”

Thugger has been talking about the album Hy!£UN35, which translates to HiTunes, since about 2015. It’s been delayed several times, resulting in an indefinite release date.

Last year, Sex released a series of projects, including Beautiful Thugger Girls, Young Martha with Carnage, and Super Slimey with Future.
