Wu-Tang Clan Reunite on ‘The Daily Show’

Wu-Tang Clan

Wu-Tang is back. All nine members of the Clan reunited for a special performance on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” on Wednesday. Method Man, Ghostface Killah, GZA, RZA, Inspectah Deck, and the rest of the gang performed their new single “Ron O’Neal” and spoke about reuniting for their upcoming album A Better Tomorrow.

Raekwon was also present and addressed his fallout and reconciliation with his fellow Wu members. “We trailblazers in the music business, we been around the world, we doing our job. I consider this a sport,” said the Chef. “I think it’s important as an athlete of music to make sure that you’ve got your business together, make sure you feel happy in whatever you want to do.”

A Better Tomorrow is scheduled for a November release. “I think we all started for a better tomorrow,” said RZA. “Wu-Tang, we have something in common with each other—a brotherhood, a respect. And when we said ‘a better tomorrow,’ we’re starting to make a better tomorrow for ourselves, but also to inspire a better tomorrow for the world.”

The group closed out the show with a performance of the Wu-Tang Forever classic “Triumph.”

In addition to A Better Tomorrow, Wu-Tang is working on a 31-track secret album, The Wu – Once Upon a Time in Shaolin. Only one copy will be produced, and RZA claims to have already received a $5 million offer.

T.I. Sips Tea with Kermit the Frog

T.I. and Kermit the Frog

T.I. sipped tea with Kermit the Frog and spilled the tea with the ladies of “The View” on Wednesday. With a cup of Lipton in hand, the Hustle Gang chief debuted a live reenactment of the meme phenomenon.

“Summa y’all #mediocres more worried bout my goings on than u is about ya own,” he wrote. “But that ain’t none of my business so…..I’ll just #SipTeaForKermit #ifitaintaboutdamoney #2sugarsplease.”

During his chat with Whoopi Goldberg, Jenny McCarthy, and Sherri Shepherd, he discussed working with executive producer Pharrell on his ninth album Paperwork, due next month.

“It’s different for me just as far as the sound that people have grown to know and love from T.I.,” said Tip. “We kinda merged it with the new, next level, ahead-of-the-curve sound of Pharrell Williams.”

He also brushed off rumors of “trouble in paradise” in his marriage. “Trouble is inevitable, but as long as the word paradise is still there,” he said.

After he’s done with music, he plans to focus his efforts on acting full-time. “I have a number of albums in mind that I think I may have still to offer the industry and then I’ll pull back and apply my efforts and energy to other areas of entertainment,” said Tip, who stars alongside Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart in Get Hard.
