Jennifer Hudson Wins The Oscar

Jennifer Hudson can now add Oscar winner to her résumé alongside “American Idol” contestant and cruise ship singer. Jennifer picked up the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress at the 79th Annual Academy Awards earlier tonight. Dreamgirls only won in two categories out of the eight it was nominated for. Aside from Supporting Actress, the film won for Best Sound Mixing. In what was a surprise to many, “Listen” did not win for Best Original Song, although Beyoncé, Jennifer, and Anika put on the best performance of the night. In another upset, Eddie Murphy did not win for Best Supporting Actor. Forest Whitaker took home Best Actor for The Last King of Scotland. Click here to see the full list of winners.
